People tend to find symbols and metaphors into things that's just how people work, to find meaning in the meaningless.

The larger the tragedy or loss, the larger & deeper the reason behind it has to be in order to satisfy people so they can keep their equilibrium in a world that’s in a constant state of flux. Hence the endless conspiracy theories surrounding every large tragic event in history.

Yep and also I got to say, my family are all Catholic, I love medieval history, architecture and art, I adore Paris, and it is very sad and I hope nobody is hurt, but the Catholic church can fund the restoration/rebuild without breaking a sweat so I won't be donating

Cathedrals like Norte Dame took over a century to build. The building was passed on generation to generation. The craftsmanship was all done by hand. Art, religious or not, is a freedom of expression. During a time of censorship, the timing of the fire sucks
