GOP has many failures, but doesn't Omar's formulation have a "dog whistle" feel to you?

“Scapegoating” = “Quoting In context”? Thx for clearing that up.

Saying it doesn’t make it so! What is this love affair with Tulsi & Omar? They make incendiary statements and expect no pushback? Left does this every day and calls their pronouncents moral and principled. Who do you think invented character assassination and ad hominem attacks?

Tulsi pointed out correctly what Omar meant in context and they know what she meant. Cheap politics..

And Tulsi has been very clear on what Islamic extremism is and who they are. She's specifically referring to what Omar was saying as Muslims in this country did indeed suffer bigotry for what some people did. I don't see the straw man in her point of defense at all.

Nonsense. It's not just Omar's words but her tone. She expresses contempt for the U.S. Her loyalties lie elsewhere.

“We cannot criticize government as long as they are women of color.” No one claimed that. It’s just your own insecurities projecting. Criticize all you want. The criticism here is wrongheaded, cheap, cynical, and inflammatory.

With respect to the Israel lobby, Omar was basically right for the wrong reasons. She's upset about Israel's influence on American politics, but that's only because she wishes the Islamic world had that level of influence. It's less about genuine concern and more about envy.

True, but at the same time, her comments on 9/11 were beyond the pale. Still, I support her overall. She talked about AIPAC. Will she talk about the Dancing Israelis?
