Assange insisted countless times for years that he would go to Sweden to face the sexual assault charges against him (he proclaimed innocence) on the condition that he not be extradited to the US. Turns out his fears in this regard were absolutely, 100% legitimate

Ecuador's previous government supported this stance. Assange repeatedly offered to be questioned in the London embassy. The charges were dropped in 2017. Get your facts straight.pic.twitter.com/d7l6PnNmAQ

As I understand it he wasn’t even charged with sexual assault. He was wanted for questioning about allegations of sexual assault.

Right, they dropped the inquiry into the potential charges.

And after both Sweden and UK refused to guarantee against US extradition, interview at the Ecuadorian embassy was the only option left for Assange to defend himself. But Swedish prosecutor refused for years to interview. In the end she was forced to do it by Swedish Court.

Julian is again 100% correct. So was Wikileaks when they said that they were going to remove him within hours or days. That's why they want him silenced. The man is excellent at what he does. Which is 100% constitutional. So many Americans are clueless and brainwashed.

There was never any charges; there were allegations. An investigation was started & the Swedish police dropped it, after they interviewed him in the embassy #FactsMatter

It’s an interesting take that he should choose the conditions under which he’d gave serious criminal charges against him. A rather unique proposal.

This is so out of date. Belated would be too fancy a term. Sweden dropped their fake case and adversarial legal position in 2017. This Wikipedia or less comment has nothing to do with what's happening (crucifixion or equivalent). Shameful.
