Meta-commentary, but I've noticed that journalists/commentators who receive a modest income through crowdfunding are subject to intense scorn and ridicule (grifter!) while journalists/commentators paid by giant corporations, with all the corruption that entails, are just "normal"

Yes, there are some genuine grifters out there who bilk people for crowdfunding money (guys like
@funder). But crowdfunding obviously does not ipso facto make one a grifter. I'm as transparent as possible. The typical media models are broken, and we need new ones.Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would consider supporting you outside of Patreon, I deleted my account last year.

I use Patreon because it's necessary for the income to be sustainable and predictable. But I also have PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/mctracey And bitcoin:https://pastebin.com/QV5SjPr6

Because Delaware-registered corporations are a natural force of nature that have always existed, and even appear in the fossil record, whereas lone human beings are an abomination before the Lord.

I’d love to see some coverage of the attorney general announcement concerning a former President’s administration being under investigation for domestic spying. I’m not sure that has ever occurred here before in the USA?

It really bothers me that we don't yet have a viable alternative to Patreon. Especially after that Sargon debacle. Companies that just make up the rules as they go should not have control over other people's livelihoods.

If and when there's a good Patreon alternative, I'll support you. You do good work.
