I can't be the only one who would rather listen to a toddler talk about politics than Candace Owens

I don't consider her an intellectual nor do I think that's the impression she's aiming for. She's a very passionate spokesperson for those who are tired of being pigeonholed based on their skin color or ethnicity. She gets the word out and won't back down. I think she's great.

I think she is a very skilled presenter and a worthy advocate for freedom of thought - that said, some of her arguments I don't grade very highly, others are worthy of discussion

Michael: She did make some statistically factual statements in her ~6 minute testimony. I look past the messenger to the facts. If we cannot honestly address uncomfortable facts then we will never find solutions. You tend to be fact-based, so I find your take mildly surprising.

Surprised me too.

In case you haven’t noticed intellectual vibrancy is of no use in today’s discourse - chess rules count for naught in a game of checkers. Anyway, smug intellectualism got us into this mess.

"They talk a lot about slavery, but they're perfectly happy to have just moved us to another plantation. What scares them the most is that black people might break out of that racial group thing and start thinking for themselves." That's JC Watts, 1997. /1

Caused a huge (temporary) kerfuffle. Was he talking about Jesse Jackson? How dare he! Short story, Watts did his time in Congress, cycled out to be a lobbyist, one that traded on minority status. /2pic.twitter.com/GARWUa2XdF

As someone that's right of center and applaud Candice for not using the liberal/ progressive BS talking points that minorites can't succeed because of a racist America. Where she falls is in some of her facts. Where followers fall is thinking she should be in office.

Candace has better weight than AOC for political "theatre".

They could have picked a Yale educated expert, but Jared Taylor appears to have been blacklisted.

She’s articulate, attractive, and black, so she’s popular with Boomercons and the alt-light. But she’s facile and glib, and said objectionable stuff about Hitler, because her mouth got ahead of her mind. Rather than say, “I misspoke”, she calls it out of context.
