In 2002, the claim by the administration that the Iraqi regime could become a nuclear threat still had an air of credibility, especially in light of chemical attacks/genocide carried out in Anfal and Halabja.

@joshtpm did much ground work reporting on the yellow cake hoax perpetrated by bad actors within the administration. I wish he had been as out in front of the Russian story as he had been in the Nigerian yellow cake one. - 1 more reply
