Remember, this was around the time Hillary was being more-or-less overtly endorsed by former senior “intelligence” chiefs like Mike Morell, Michael Hayden, John McLaughlin, etc. as well as neocons like Robert Kagan, David Frum, Max Boot, and Paul Wolfowitz

Of course, Hillary also funded the Steele Dossier (then concealed it for 1.5 years) which was later surreptitiously shared with Clinton-friendly reporters like David Corn. The fraudulent Dossier was then cited by the FBI as its basis for acquiring a FISA warrant on Carter Page

Infamously, Hillary cranked the conspiratorial lunacy into high gear when she accused Trump of being Putin's "puppet" at the third debate on October 19. This false notion (that Trump was compromised) fueled the next 2.5 years of hysterical media coverage and Democratic theatrics

Then within 24 hours of her loss (according to the book "Shattered," the definitive inside account of her campaign) Team Hillary decided that "Russia" would be the explanatory narrative they'd push, and most of the media fell in line without applying even basic critical scrutinypic.twitter.com/e3UsB68gW1

And so, the events set into motion by Hillary's craven conspiracy-mongering dominated US politics for nearly 3 years -- doing irreparable damage to the body politic, and ultimately empowering Trump. The depravities inflicted on the country by the Clintons never seem to stop

Mook was being briefed personally on the Steele dossier. He originally allocated the funding to Perkins Coie as well
-
Do you have any links elaborating on this?

Wasn't the Hillary campaign in '08 originally responsible for Birther-ism too? It's hardly surprising.

The funny part is DNC destroyed the servers before FBI could look at it.

Exactly, those talking points were specifically designed to make sure Hilary’s staff/DNC staff wouldn’t lose their jobs incase she lost the election. No need for a postmortem shake up if the loss is Russia’s fault.
-
Plus, you keep angry donors at bay. She blew a war chest of $1.2 BILLION. That would require LOTS of angry donors.

I’m so glad she told us in advance that not accepting the results of an election would be “horrifying.” Oh, wait, that was only if *she* won.

Speaking of which, people have been passing around this old tweet of mine this week https://twitter.com/tomkattman/status/916708641411125248?s=21 … so apparently it’s still felt to be relevant.

Puppet of Putin comments during the debate were made with them expecting to win. It was an excuse to ramp up tensions with Russia afterwards
-
No, it was made to sway the minds of voters so she would win. What she and her campaign team didn’t realize was that many of us can see the Democrat party has become Bolshevik party 25 plus years after the USSR broke up and communism ended in Russia
