One continuously maddening aspect of this whole farce is the notion that the release of the DNC/Podesta emails constituted an "attack on America," even though those emails contained countless newsworthy revelations (https://medium.com/mtracey/russian-hackers-provided-vital-information-to-american-voters-d7fb0f9ec50b …) that EVERYONE in the media reported on

It’s equivalent to when they accuse Manning/Snowden of aiding terrorists. Underlying issue in all this is the secrets of the powerful.

Phishing is a crime of opportunity, not a targeted hacking event. Had Podesta been intelligent enough to not fall for it, it would've changed the course of history. Lesson is to not employ luddites.

I understand why those that push this idea push it. I don’t understand the audience that believes it. Why don’t Americans want transparency? And if they do, why not support those who bring it to them? Assange, Manning & etc are American heroes.

I think it's because they want to create the impression that the audience wants this and agreed with it . Press was sending out thoughts, hoping they would win hearts and minds.

That you think those emails were newsworthy & deserving of the breathless coverage ‘but her emails’ & more important than the corrupt Con Man in WH and his Russian Mob money laundering ties - that DIDNT get covered-that says all we really need to know about what your agenda is.

Exactly. Does anyone honestly believe that if Trump's campaign emails were hacked people would think it was "an attack on America"? Hell no.

Plato predicted that prisoners would kill anyone who tried to drag them from the cave of ignorance. Assange, Manning, Snowden are finding this out.

I also don't understand why Glenn gets shit for his position at the time. IIRC his main gripe was that no evidence had been given to the public, and he didn't blindly trust statements from the intelligence community. And when evidence was released, he accepted it.

No he didn’t. He went on Fox & Democracy Now & stated NO ONE should just trust what intelligence community SAYS. But now he is apoplectic that people DON’T just blindly trust Barr, guy who covered up for Bush in Iran/Contra. That’s why no one buys Greenwalds Trump Rhetoric
