She was. A status quo candidate in a change election.

Hillary's campaign staff & support in DNC thought identity politics, ignoring certain demographics in key states, and plain excitement over having the first woman President be a democrat would carry them. Rather than take responsibility they blamed Bernie & his supporters.

They knew she was horrible, and that she had operated a completely illegal email server to avoid public scrutiny. She was supposed to get away with it, but those meddling kids at Wikileaks saved us. We got Trump (which sucks) but had she won it would have been worse.
-
The server thing was not brought to light by wikileaks. And she make things worse for herself by a continuous stream of totally unnecesary lies.

She was, but it was mostly because she was running in 2016, amid the fallout from the Great Recession and the progressive reaction against Obama's centrism. If she'd won the primary in 2008, or a cycle earlier, she'd have performed better because expectations were so much lower.
-
The primary reason Hillary and other corporate candidates now face an uphill battle is the ability of voters to use social media to bypass establishment filters and communicate directly with one another. For the time being at least, it's a game changer.

"But her resume" they say. Having held a title does not mean you were good at it or exhibited good judgement in it.
-
Exactly. Her resume is why I didn't support her. Every title she held, she did awful things.

Funny stuff.. but she knew it all along. They set this up w/the Steele Dossier she paid for & it was documented in Shattered that Mook & Podesta hatched this PR spin within 24 hrs of her concession. It's hard to understand how people bought this bogus story for so long.

And they will be just as incapable of comprehending when their next chosen corporate candidate loses in 2020 too.
-
I wouldn't count on that. Kushner should have never been allowed near the WH.

They could accept that. What they still cant accept is that their political-media complex couldnt keep control of the situation long enough to get her across the post. This is as shattering to their cosmology as communists waking to see east germans knocking down the Berlin Wall.

Correct. Democrats should be having a serious discussion about why they couldn’t say “no” to such a transparently awful and corrupt person.
-
Probably because they themselves are corrupt. The entire political class is. It’s why Donald Trump, as an outsider, was so refreshing to so many voters. He wasn’t politically correct and he talked about issues that many “forgotten Americans” cared about.
