It would not have been difficult to simply state, "I am now advising and conducting speechwriting tasks for this presidential candidate" at the point those activities commenced, and then poof -- no controversy. You really have to bend over backwards to not understand this.

OK, fair enough, although that's not "trashing," as The Atlantic claims. I agree that he should've disclosed his affiliation with the Sanders campaign earlier, but I also think that this is a bad faith attack by The Atlantic -- not aimed at Sirota, but at Sanders.

I'll be delighted if they hold other 2020 Dems and their media orbiters to the same standard, but I suspect that they won't.
