Chelsea Clinton obviously had no role whatsoever in the NZ massacre but she *did* have a direct role in precipitating the enormously cynical and dishonest Omar controversy, so holding her to account for that in public is perfectly appropriate

Mob action like that is never "appropriate". And Chelsea Clinton's criticism of Omar was pretty mild, actually. If Omar (or AOC for that matter) are going to be public figures, they can't be treated as being above criticism.

1) Never said Omar, AOC or anyone was above criticism 2) What "mob action" are you referring to? She was at a public event and approached by a fellow attendee. That's not "mob action"

She was approached by an entire group of people who acted like they were about to beat her up. One careless move on CC's part, and it might have actually gone down that way.

What do you think would happen if one was confronted by a mob like that and you told them to, say, go fuck themselves? I seriously think they'd throw punches - the implication is certainly there.

She's a public figure who attended a public event and then was approached about her prior public statements. Conflating that with "mob" activity, which has a violent confrontation, is foolish. Her physical safety was never threatened.
