The depraved maniac in New Zealand has already accomplished his stated goal of spreading his sick views, which are now being amplified across the world. Breivik (cited by the maniac as inspiration) had the same goal and also succeeded. The incentives operative here are so warped.

What he fundamentally advocates is "fascistic accelerationism." (He self-identifies as a fascist). He perceives the principal enemies of that objective to be conservatives, especially US conservatives. Although the attack took place in NZ, his main political focus is the US.

So rather than help him achieve his stated objective (fomenting political strife in the US) you'd hope that US media would exercise caution and not start leveling wild, ill-considered charges. However, I am not optimistic.

Very creative reading. Then again, when one doesn't really want to condemn awful acts, a lot of creativity's required.

Wasn’t Beto doing faux unity yesterday? It’s a cheery recipe for status quo destruction, pol nihilism. We already are in political struggle against all mechanisms owned, controlled, reproduced, defended by the right. The US is so large we aren’t really connected except by enemies

They don't. They were used because he knew the left would take their defense. He's using them just like he's using everyone in the media. It could have been any marginalized group.

I will never stop getting a kick out of how fearsome the left is in the imagination of non leftists. The most traction the left could get on the 2nd Amendment is creating a congressional statement about their feels on it: "2nd Amendment Good for Some, Terrible for Most"

How the Right sees the Left: A fearsome and menacing bureaucratic tiger that accomplishes anything it sets out to do. How the Left sees itself: A paper bureaucratic tiger that can't even properly order lunch without two hour discourse.

The guy is playing the media like a fiddle and only people who understand internet and meme cultural recognise any of this. He included the fucking navy seal meme in his manifesto ffs. The nuclear Hot takes coming from this are mostly just embarrassing.
