I was 24 at the time. Like millions of others I opposed and marched against the war. Some people had better judgement than others!https://twitter.com/MaxBoot/status/1105899744373678082 …

Well, I think GG did. Originally. But he's clearly grown and changed in his views over time. But Maximum Boot is clearly delusional here. F-15 was the largest protests in US, and around the world, at the time. The war was a massively unpopular idea https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/15_February_2003_anti-war_protests …

I really have a hard time with Max Boot. In this case he makes a point that the support for the war was not strictly confined to neocons. However, that is where the philosophy of interventionism originated and drove the debate. Regardless, the purpose of his post is self serving.

It was only after MSNBC gave Chris a truckload of money to sell his integrity that he got his mind right and became a full throated propagandist for regime change interventions like Venezuela. But it’s all

What's with the fedora hatted pundits on Twitter spewing ridiculous hot takes the past couple of days?

I thought this said ridiculous hot-cakes and for a moment it was my favorite tweet this week.

I'm guessing its Chris's micro-penis aggression and anger that Maddow is paid more.

And yet Trump opposed the Iraq war as well.

Yeah, there’s no evidence that he supported it. The only thing people can find is a passage from a book of his that’s taken out of context in which he described his views before he got into politics. Reluctant (if naive) deference isn’t the same as support

.
@ggreenwald did, actually. He admitted it in the preface of his own book. And then years later he claimed he didn’t *really* support the war because he didn’t happen to write any articles about it. Ya can’t make this shit up. https://thedailybanter.com/2013/04/glenn-greenwalds-hilarious-denial-about-his-support-for-iraq-war/ …pic.twitter.com/J8Mim3U3uU

Surprised the usually astute
@ggreenwald was so easily snookered by the BS they were pumping out. Used to make me crazy that I & other reg ppl in the anti war effort were able to see it coming a yr b4 the bombs, like toxic smoke symbols burning on neocon manure. Yet so many duped - 6 more replies

Glenn Greenwald was something of a libertarian/right-winger at one point and openly and honestly drifted towards being more of a principled liberal. It's unfair to hold that against him because I've always found him to be totally transparent and consistent for a long time.
-
I see him get attacked by lefties for that but he's always stood out to me for his principled defense of Muslim free speech during the Charlie Hebdo incident and aftermath. He's been commendably consistent in his principles on that.
