Honestly the screenshot police, tattle-tales, and faux moralizers at Media Matters are some of the most consistently pathetic people on the planet

But you wrote an entire series entitled "Pundit Accountability Initiative" and were the author of this post that argued said "internet sleuths" are a "small price to pay" to maintain a "public journalistic/commentary record."https://medium.com/theyoungturks/should-journalists-really-be-indiscriminately-deleting-their-old-tweets-32896186a68b …

They’re not imposing genuine accountability on anyone, they’re just faux moralizers and petty outrage merchants.

OK, then I'd be very interested to hear, in detail, how their online documentation of pundits' past comments and behavior differs from the Pundit Accountability Initiative series you did? Can you explain how you justify calling their work fake and less genuine than what you do?

The principles on which I operated to carry out that initiative never had to do with cynical morality police outrage-peddling, it was about identifying contradictions and inconsistencies with regard to issues that actually matter.

You realize your argument is 100% subjective and could easily be made by @mmfa…or anyone else. I mean, I'll even concede Media Matters has an (obvious) Democratic bias, but to argue they've had no impact on egregrious pundit misconduct just isn't true.https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/may/26/sean-hannity-advertiser-boycott-fox-news-seth-rich …

Yes, I realize my argument is subjective. I'm subjectively asserting that Media Matters traffics in frivolous, faux-moralizing crap to generate cheap outrage.

I see you've decided start a new thread that parrots the exact same language, while still refusing to explain/justify a standard for differentiating between "good" & "bad" other than a purely self-centered claim that you do the former and @mmfa the latter.https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1105099375519457280 …

My good/bad standard is my subjective assessment of what principles warrant probing media figures’ past comments. Finding fodder to stoke cheap quasi-moralizing outrage does not meet that standard, in my subjective judgment.

But again, you keep repeating the very same phrases with zero corresponding context or examples to clarify or justify your scorn for @mmfa. Isn't this is precisely the kind of arch, I-know-better stance you would would criticize a NYT op-ed writer or MSNBC talking head for?
