This was the person selected by CNN last night to question Tulsi about Assad. She’s a corporate consultant who has worked for Goldman Sachs, Google, and Time Warner. Why does CNN pretend these “town halls” are representative of average voters?pic.twitter.com/PNLGOYDKRn

These are all staged reality shows. I had thought Donna Brazil opened everyone’s eyes to CNN and this process but they continue to be taken seriously

We know they are staged. (Tulsi does too). She handled it with the cerebral gravity of a Jedi Master.

Because it works remarkably well and people believe it? There needs to be a serious discussion about the credibility of the media in order for people to be made aware they are being sold a narrative, rather than an attempt at objectively reporting events.

Average voters don't go to SXSW. Un-average voters don't go to SXSW anymore either. That ended when the corporate media sacrificed covering the event (and their journalistic integrity) in order to become part of the event.

because they're afraid of giving regular voters a platform for regular working class issues. That wouldn't give them all the gotchas and sound bites they use to tell us who to vote for.

They "pretend" so they can look like they are not just working for Goldman Sach which they are. Its not rocket science. The whole mainstream media establishment are shills for corporate power but they desperately need us to believe they are unbias voices of the American people.
