Andrew Cuomo obliterated Cynthia Nixon last fall because normie Dems turned out in huge numbers, which made the Twitter-centric narrative of that race look utterly foolish. Do not underestimate the potential for a similar dynamic to play out nationally

Put another way: the political preferences of “normie Dems” are underrepresented in online media narratives, because they’re older and don’t use Twitter. These correlate with the type of people in the “removing Trump is all that matters” mindframe, who are inclined toward Biden

Voter turnout in the 2016 primaries was relatively low (a harbinger of Hillary's weakness in November). All signs indicate that turnout for the 2020 primaries will be significantly higher, and we don't know exactly what that electorate will look like yet. Could be lots of normies

Biden’s lead comes from huge name ID, because he was VP. Most people still haven’t heard of Kamala, Beto, Warren, etc.
-
And what they have heard, they don’t like or agree with or believe is feasible.

Why? Why aren't the dems focused on why we should elect them?
-
This exactly. I normally vote Republican, but not ALWAYS. I could be persuaded. But give me a reason to vote FOR you, not just against someone. In a strong economy, they are going to need a candidate with feasible ideas.

And don't forget the possibility of anti-Trump Republicans crossing over to vote for Biden in the primaries. Especially if no viable challenger emerges to Trump.

We already know from Russiagate that average dem voters as as stupid and gullible as any MAGA hat wearer so Biden may well win the nomination. If he does, Trump wins 2020.

Personally I think bidden would be perfect he has been anti-immigrant most of his life anti-gay most of his life and he touches young female children way too much he would get defeated soundly
-
At this point, he would be the “not insane” candidate. Someone moderate Democrats & Independents could vote for. There is SUCH a divide between that wing & the far left activist base, I think predictions are really hard.

Media when Dems win: they should move right. Media when Dems lose: they should move right.
