Michael Tracey Retweeted Meet the Press

Jordan's manner can be obnoxious but *Michael Cohen definitively testified* that he never went to Prague. Under oath. So it's not a "belief." I hate to use such an annoyingly cliched term, but NBC and MSNBC are "gaslighting" the public on thishttps://twitter.com/MeetThePress/status/1102232945333596161 …

WATCH: Rep. Jordan believes Michael Cohen never went to Prague. #MTP @Jim_Jordan: “That undermines this whole dossier, which...was the basis for this whole crazy investigation.” @chucktodd: “That isn’t the facts...it is something that you believe, but it has not been proven.” pic.twitter.com/sHVLfmyQQJ

His manner being annoying to you is just confirmation bias. You would feel the exact opposite about it if he were a politician with whom you generally agreed on policy

To be fair, anyone—especially Michael Cohen—testifying to something under oath doesn't make it automatically true. So the question is still whether one *believes* it to be true or not.

Jordan simply relayed what Cohen testified, and that's being characterized as a "belief."

Todd isn't challenging whether Cohen went to Prague. He's referring to Jordan's claim that the dossier started the whole investigation, which is false. It was Papadopoulos' activities that started it.

No mention of Papadopoulos in FISA warrant for some reason. That seems odd doesn't it?

@chucktodd dropped the ball after IDing Jordan’s feckless lie. That was a moment in which Tim Russert would have concluded the interview, since the guest just lied to his face and confronted with that Jordan continued.

This exposes the very nature of why our CJ system requires the accuser prove their case, instead of the reverse. It’s impossible to prove something didn’t happen. And that sums up the last 24 months nicely.

Which in and of itself means absolutely nothing. The raw intelligence says Cohen’s phone may have pinged in Prague. Raw intelligence look it up. Doesn’t mean the Steele dossier is false!

That’s odd. I thought @chucktodd , not Rep Jordan was rude and obnoxious. Just because he couldn’t get @Jim_Jordan to say what he wanted.
