So it turns out that a BuzzFeed reporter who co-authored the explosive story claiming Trump "explicitly" directed Cohen to lie doesn't know what the word "explicitly" means. That's the only way I can make sense of what he says in this fascinating interview. cc: @BuzzFeedBenhttps://twitter.com/IChotiner/status/1101996683364196352 …

You mean to me? I don't think the truth (as it looks now) is that far from what I predicted in our diavlog: Buzzfeed story was partly but not totally off base.

As I suspected, the central claim of the article has now been demonstrated to be false (according to Cohen himself, testifying under oath). "Partly true" is not a tenable standard for "bombshell" news stories that provoke widespread cries for impeachmenthttps://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1101118024835366917 …

i.e.: Trump implicitly directed Cohen to lie; and Sekulow testimony markups may be the documentary evidence the story claimed existed. (I think what I predicted, though, was that Cohen would claim explicit direction, and the documentary evidence would be wholly lacking)
