This tweet misrepresents the point. The substantive issue here is that: -Trump told Mueller that Roger Stone did NOT tell him about WikiLeaks/DNC emails. -Michael Cohen testified that he heard Roger Stone tell Trump about WikiLeaks/DNC emails. -Both cannot be true.https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1100765099751550977 …

If Trump "knew in advance" about the pending publication of hacked DNC emails, so did everyone who followed the WikiLeaks Twitter account. It was public information! That's what's so maddening about this ridiculous narrative pic.twitter.com/mCYQxNUOZK

That’s a separate point. There is also “substance” in the question of whether Trump had privileged foreknowledge of the DNC email release, and there’s no good reason to believe he did.

Sure, but Cohen appears to be talking about what Stone did/did not tell Trump (i.e., Cohen said: "He was a presidential candidate who knew that Roger Stone was talking with Julian Assange about a WikiLeaks drop of Democratic National Committee emails.")

Cohen's characterization of the conversation between Stone and Trump is vague enough that there's no good reason to believe it indicates that either Stone or Trump had foreknowledge, or even that the purported Assange/Stone phone call ever took placehttps://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1100843910358859778 …

Cohen's characterization of what Stone told Trump makes no specific reference to the DNC. All that's referenced is "emails that would damage Hillary," which Assange had publicly hinted at for weeks before the alleged Trump/Stone conversation took place sometime in late July 2016 pic.twitter.com/GuQ82uymL4

No good reason? Hunh. Maybe you’re not looking because it doesn’t fit your narrative?

I learned this painful lesson with the Pizzagate freaks. Once you become emotionally invested in a narrative no matter what the facts say it won't change your opinion. Some of these people are gone. Let them go and yell at each other about Russia in a padded room.

The utter lack of concern with what was in the DNC emails is a real tragedy.

Yeah, it's amazing, isn't it? On one hand, we're told that the Wikileaks leak of DNC e-mails are the crime of the century because it swayed the election, but on the other hand, we're told that the actual contents of the e-mails are nothingburgers.

Breathlessly defending Trump from a supposed “leftist” position is quite the niche you’ve carved out for yourself. You must be so proud.

Oh just that the Stone phonecall took place at least hours before the Wikileaks tweet. That's all, Tracey.
