It's honestly pathetic that reporters would be shouting useless, irrelevant questions about Michael F'ing Cohen while Trump is in the midst of some of the most sensitive diplomatic negotiations a president has conducted in recent times. Trump did not respond to a reporter’s question about Michael Cohen testimony as he sat face to face with Kim Jong Un.

Honest question, you don’t think it’s relevant considering what’s happening today? I get he is overseas, but there is big news potentially here as well. We can focus on more than one thing.

No, it's not relevant to diplomatic discussions to end the Korean War. It's reflective of an incredibly parochial fixation on domestic politics.

The reason I know this take is correct is that I'd be livid if Obama received similar treatment at such a critical meeting. Wait like an hour til the meeting is over!

That’s fine. But then he should have schedule time with reporters to ask domestic questions away from the meetings. I’m fine with etiquette, but we can’t sacrifice our constitutional rights because of it.

Again, honest question. You don’t think we or the media can handle both? Or the president can handle both? Would international questions be off limit if he were in a domestic setting? I’m not well versed, so this is just me being curious.

It less can people handle it or not. It more is it the time and place to do. It like talking smack during a hostage negotiation, shit is volatile
