It's easy to be against "regime change" in principle, much harder to be against it in specific circumstances. That's why many on the Right who ostensibly claim to oppose regime change favor the Venezuela intervention. The unique circumstances justify it, they say. Same old trick.

Whatever you think about Maduro, it would be ridiculous to argue that his humanitarian offenses have been worse than, say, Saddam Hussein. Yet all these right-wing "anti-globalist" guys, including Trump, routinely affirm how unjustified the Iraq War was. They're incoherent.

No one's saying a full ground invasion of Venezuela is likely, but that's not the point. The point is the logic behind using US force to depose a foreign leader. Take Libya: no full ground invasion there either. Likewise, US military is now massing at the Venezuela border.

the real anti-globalists don't think of themselves as being "on the right". time to bury that nonLindy left-right concept.

Michael: At least Dr. Ron Paul and his affiliates, RPI, do not waver and stand their ground on solid intellectual footing. Consistent and authoritative.

Intervention is a tool for your side to use, just like "free" speech. Destroying your enemies isn't against the principle of desiring peace.

Eh, trust me.. there are a lot of us on the anti-globalist Right, who deplore Abrams' work and don't believe we should intervene in Venezuela. OTOH, there is also room on the anti-globalist Right for the Monroe Doctrine.

What are the dos & don'ts of military intervention for Trump supporters? Neocons? Establishment Democrats?

The worst kind of twitter is "X claims to care about Y, but look at what they are doing to Z. How insincere!"

Venezuela is a humanitarian emergency. Exceptions are made.

How the hell does Tracey not see this as a bipartisan center project? Further left and right both object to this crap. He’s signaling to try to stay in good graces with the left.
