I’ve thought about this, & I don’t blame Bernie for playing along, genuine or not. Politics is a different universe & had he expressed even remote skepticism the attacks on him would have increased exponentially, making it all-consuming. From that POV, don’t think it’s worth it.

I get the logic of playing along. But there are gradations of playing along. Pretending that "Trump's foreign policy represents the best interests of Russia" was an obvious farce, even in February 2017. He did not need to dip into the paranoid, baseless rhetoric.

I love the bern man but this is true. He’s going to reap what he helps to sow here and I hope he learns his lesson.

I agree. I've been concerned about this myself. Let's not forget that part of the "Russiagate" narrative involves claims that Russia tried to influence the primaries in Bernie's favor. How will he respond when asked about that during the debates?

He’s weak on foreign policy? God yes. It’s all about foreign policy! Defense budgets and regime change. Every other policy no matter how good, can, and will, be used to distract us from this.

Yeah, there is that embarrassing factor! “Would you like to ride in their Russia hot-air balloooooon?” Russiagate is a distraction for the Dem primary rigging of DNC against Bernie!

Big mistake was made when fans & maybe Bernie himself rationalized such Russiagate-fevered statements as politically pragmatic to win Dem nomination. His smarter base knows it's dangerous pandering to McCarthyite madness, and his Dem enemies will NEVER forgive the "Putin stooge."

Questions: Would it be worth Bernie's fall to put the nail in the Russian-conspiracy's coffin? Or would it be worth validating the conspiracy if it meant Bernie winning the nomination?

Truth is more valuable than hero worship.

Yep that's a mistake. Tired of this Russia narrative. Why do we need them to be the big bad? Is it because we are projecting?

Question better put is: "Is bipartisan US foreign policy better for America or Israel?"

Remember when Bernie said he was sick and tired of hearing about "her emails" even though what he should have done was illuminate why they were important & redirect away from the MSM narrative that they were a "nothing-burger"..

I actually don't agree with Bernie on the whole Russia thing. By putting ships in the Black Sea, suspending the nuclear arms control treaty, and the many other things Russia isn't a fan. This proves Trump isn't a Russian plant because we are headed to a new Cold War with Russia
-
Wars or against the rules with Bernie! We will not do a trade war in a Virgo or any kind of war. We don’t want an enemy in Russia we don’t want to enemy in Iran we don’t want to enemy anywhere all we want to do is focus on our revolution and soaking the rich to pay for the poor.
