Intellectual Dark Web & co. treat claims of racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry with heightened levels of skepticism because they're wary of those claims being bad faith and manipulative. But with claims of anti-semitism, all skepticism goes out the window. How come?

All of them do this? Or is this directed at just Shapiro, Rubin , and Eric Weinstein?

I'm speaking about a general IDW tendency. I just had a two hour discussion with Eric Weinstein in which he disassembled about the topic to an extraordinary baffling degree. Throw in Bari Weiss, who helped coin the term.

When the hell did Bari Weiss become IDW? No wonder you're confused.

Perhaps when she wrote the flattering New York Times article that helped popularize the phrase?https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/08/opinion/intellectual-dark-web.html …

Are you implying writing flattering articles about groups makes you automatically part of said group? You should probably tell a lot of journalist this! I don't think they're aware of this rule change.

I never claimed she's a formal member of the group (there *is* no formal group) just that she exhibits the tendency associated with the IDW. And yes, writing a flattering profile that helps to amplify this tendency rightly associates her with it.

You specifically said she helped coin the term IDW, she did not. You conveyed she’s some sort of founding member, sh is not. Now you’re being disingenuous. Maybe she engages with them on twitter, but I haven’t seen her on their usual hangouts.

She wrote a widely-circulated and flattering profile that helped coin and amplify the term. She also exhibits their general sensibility in her tastes and emphases, and appears on their various media. You're just being obtuse for no reason.

You’ll just keep adding people to the group until it proves your hypothesis.

The only person I’ve “added” is Bari Weiss for the easily-graspable reason that she is largely responsible for popularizing the term.
