Check out how the leader of the Intellectual Dork Web responds to my claim that they have an Israel-sized blindspot in their critique of "outrage culture." Rather than address it, he launches a meandering digression about whether I have proper credentialshttps://twitter.com/EricRWeinstein/status/1096976589554802688 …

Twitter commenters have informed me I’m just jealous of the IDW and really want to be invited to one of their exclusive restaurant outings. Fine, I admit it. My dream is to share an appetizer with Ben Shapiro

It’s a good thread but calling it the ‘Dork Web’ and referring to him as the ‘IDW guy’ makes you seem childish with a bit of sour grapes (ie if you we’re asked to join the IDW you would). So keep your discussions intelligent without the pettiness.

Yes, I’m just dying to be invited to a prestigious IDW induction ceremony emceed by Bari Weiss

Had no idea who the IDW was until the thread. I now know why. They offer nothing.

After all that, did he ever address your question/issue about the outrage culture blind spot re: Israel?

You came out on top, Michael. The IDW guy came off arrogant, evasive and strange.

I tried to watch an interview with them last year. Twice. Couldn’t make it past the first 15 minutes. I felt duped.

Twitter has many strengths and weaknesses. Its character limit is both.
-
The character limit is tailored for terse, angry dialogue. Which is probably by design.

The best policy is to just not engage. These people will just end up telling you to clean your room like their messiah.

Not worth checking into it. Long twitter exchanges...no one wins...Got to say what you need to say and get out. Can’t worry about who has the last word. Leave it alone. A long exchange is pointless.

What could be better use of my time than reading Michael Tracy threads?

-
Is there a way to just view Tracy's tweets. This thread is difficult to navigate

He and his ilk (Shapiro, Rubin, Peterson, etc.) are frauds and hacks.
-
The funny thing about these guys is I tend to enjoy their discussions on their podcasts. I don’t agree with everything they say, but I like the dialogue. They mostly seem petty on Twitter, and I feel like it hurts their overall appeal.
