Check out how the leader of the Intellectual Dork Web responds to my claim that they have an Israel-sized blindspot in their critique of "outrage culture." Rather than address it, he launches a meandering digression about whether I have proper credentialshttps://twitter.com/EricRWeinstein/status/1096976589554802688 …

Is there an article calling out the hypocrisy/outrage-culture of the IDW when it comes to Israel? I see the claim but the evidence needs to be presented...or at least direct me to the place it already exists. Also it'd be cool if you ceded Eric's point on journalistic ethics.

Mike does not need to cede a point here. He's been making it all along. And it was a question to a proponent of the IDW.pic.twitter.com/QFHDxC3xKz

@EricRWeinstein is actually reading this article, hence having not commented within the first 30sec, making this a rare form of legitimate dialogue on Twitter.

right now is the meta story that journalism refuses to break. That is, we gave protected LEGAL status to a profession (journalism) that needs to be *revoked* if it will no longer follow its ethics in the Twitter era.
