6/ I am for and against Hijab as it is not one thing. I am for and against freedom for “hate speech”. I support @aoc’s courage on campaign finance, and can’t stand the authoritarianism. And on&on.
This gets exhausting. So I don’t weigh in the way people who are on one team do.

I’m not talking about certification. I’m asking if you have a problem w/ the ethics of your claimed profession? These interactions are so odd. You‘re aware that journalists receive protected legal status in exchange for assuming responsibilities of impartiality, good faith, etc?

We are talking shield laws, New York Times Co. v Sullivan levels obligations to show malice? Your calling yourself a journalist is like saying you‘re entitled to diplomatic immunity without being a diplomat or being tax exempt as a dry cleaner or chef. You seem to be an activist.

If I were in your field I would be lobbying for professional licensing. At the very least certificatation. Anyone can be a journalist And there are many independent journalists who are blowing the doors off those in your biz. You can’t do my job, but I can certainly do yours.
