Plot. Again, Mike Pence and a majority of this Cabinet. Bad plot.https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1096781886905569281 …

People arguing that the FBI was right to plot a 25th Amendment removal scheme against Trump because he was morally incapacitated, rather than physically incapacitated: You really want the FBI making autonomous decisions about the moral character of the president? Are you insane?

What don't you understand about this? The plot was instigated by the FBI. Remember when liberals used to be wary of the FBI arrogating vast new powers to itself? Those were the days.

How is it a "plot" to discuss following the protocol of the Constitution and then do nothing once it turns out to be unfeasible? The vast new powers of the FBI are... spitballing around the water cooler?

Yes, the scary thing about this detail isn't that the people in daily contact with the president think he is unfit. It's that they considered doing something about it.

usually, people are just being ironic when saying memes like "WTF I love the FBI and CIA now." they aren't.

If Charles took the time to mold everything you pretend to not understand into a lifelike animatronic 80 year old congresswoman, and this animatron brushed past you, would you still end up in the intensive care unit?

The 25th Amendment requires the majority of the cabinet to decide he is unfit. And later needs to be ratified by Congress, with a two-thirds vote. You're talking as if the FBI was plotting a coup.

The part we don't understand is what the FBI could have done to move their plot forward after they finished taking.

how do you imagine this "plot" would play out? G-men rushing into Secretaries offices with guns drawn to force them to vote to tell Congress that Trump's unable to do his job?

Do you think this is the first time these agencies haven’t questioned the fitness of a person? They did it with Reagan. Presidents are under constant evaluating agencies. You might not like it, but it’s their job to ensure these clowns aren’t acting against the constitution too.

It does suggest that said institutional checks are ineffective at stopping those determined to break the law
