I can't get over how idiotic this talking point is: "The 25th Amendment is in the Constitution, so any scheme hatched by a bureaucratic cabal to depose the president must be legal if the schemers invoke it." Never underestimate how much bad punditry is driven by sheer stupidity

McCabe and Rosenstein are not cabinet officials, tough guy. Maybe you’re getting a little fuzzy yourself.

It doesn't seem fair to you that people who have putative evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the Prez and access to cabinet officials organize to petition them to use their constitutional powers? Or is there some angle you're seeing here I don't?

The appropriate mechanism in the case of criminal wrongdoing would be through impeachment. The 25th Amendment was imagined as a recourse for addressing physical incapacitation, as when Woodrow Wilson had a stroke and couldn't physically function.

Then they can't "invoke the 25th"any more than I or you can, smart guy.

Did McCabe and Rosenstein say they planned to invoke the 25th THEMSELVES, tough guy? No, they were going to talk to cabinet members, and presumably about evidence that would fit the 25th's criteria: inability to fulfill duty. You've picked the wrong hot take on this one...
