The enemy of your enemy—in this case interventionism—doesn't always need to be your friend. What's most concerning about Tucker's anti-interventionism is that it's rooted in selfishness, Nationalism and viewing people in other countries, especially the Middle East, as inferior.https://twitter.com/RoKhanna/status/1096467708831510530 …

I know your full-time job is screengrabbing zany Fox News clips and posting them on Twitter, but forging cross-ideological coalitions to curtail destructive US foreign policy is kind of more important

I have to interject here, respectfully. I don’t disagree that coalitions are necessary, but I do think it’s important to point out that Jordan worked behind the scenes at MoveOn to get them to run graphic photos of Yemen.

Then he should realize the importance of supporting efforts to forge cross-ideological coalitions in opposition to US foreign policy (which overwhelmingly harms nonwhites) instead of denigrating the few members of Congress willing to do this as "white nationalism enablers."

It’s a difficult situation we’re all in. The power lined up behind maintaining the status quo has arguably never been so entrenched. So naturally, any help is welcome. But on the other hand, Tucker Carlson represents a dangerous movement and is no ally. Broken clock kinda thing.

Sorry, my belief is that smearing Ro as a “white nationalism” enabler is totally unjustified and toxic.

I think that would be an unfair characterization of Khanna for sure, but I didn’t get that from Jordan’s tweet.

That it’s a situation specific criticism—not reflective of Khanna’s work as a whole but rather his tweet.

"Championing a fucking white nationalist" is pretty clear language on Jordan's part. It's a toxic smear.

Also putting "progressive" in quotes is not a fair thing to do to the guy that championed the Yemen bill in the House.
