Of course the usual suspect Twitter warriors are screaming that this non-white member of Congress is abetting "white nationalism" by forging cross-ideological coalitions to curtail destructive US foreign policy. Idiotshttps://twitter.com/RoKhanna/status/1096467708831510530 …

Agree that attacking Khanna over the tweet is dumb but the idea of forming alliances with people like Tucker is kinda risky. One thing to work together where common interests happen to exist but he's definitely not any sort of ally in a long-term sense
-
There's no formal alliance, or political structure. It's just about fostering mutual agreement that can then be marshaled into improved policy outcomes.

I'll never understand this mentality. Tucker is an idiot as far as I know, but if making common cause with him helps end the suffering of people abroad - suffering which means death, starvation and more - then I see no drawbacks whatsoever.

I read
@TuckerCarlson's book on a lark. About half pants-on-head ranting about feminism and communists, but the other half was very convincing pro-personal liberty, anti-elitism and anti-war. I think the anti-authoritarian right should absolutely be encouraged. -
Even if they don't like abortions, I'd take 'em over the neocons any day. (and half the time I'd trade for our elite 'left' centrists too - Tuck vs Chelsea, hard choice...)

Tucker's just a racist shittalker. He doesn't actually have any consistent ideology, just a bit of a bigot. Not worth ingratiating with and validating to form some nebulous 'strategic alliance', even less someone to trust to advance ethical foreign policy.

Tucker Carlson is not a trustworthy coalition partner against imperialism. Didn't he support the Iraq War until like, yesterday? Chasing waterfalls is not worth signal boosting his increasingly virulent brand of white nationalism
-
I mean, the American Conservative has been publishing these critiques of American empire since forever, they have plenty of writers who aren't actively stoking racial hatred in America, maybe we can build a coalition with them instead?

I don't know if you're doing this intentionally, but you're conflating several issues right now, and you're trying to redirect the conversation. "You're the racist one thinking this is racist." It's disingenuous.
