The enemy of your enemy—in this case interventionism—doesn't always need to be your friend. What's most concerning about Tucker's anti-interventionism is that it's rooted in selfishness, Nationalism and viewing people in other countries, especially the Middle East, as inferior.https://twitter.com/RoKhanna/status/1096467708831510530 …

I have to interject here, respectfully. I don’t disagree that coalitions are necessary, but I do think it’s important to point out that Jordan worked behind the scenes at MoveOn to get them to run graphic photos of Yemen.
-
Then he should realize the importance of supporting efforts to forge cross-ideological coalitions in opposition to US foreign policy (which overwhelmingly harms nonwhites) instead of denigrating the few members of Congress willing to do this as "white nationalism enablers."

Tucker doesn't want to end the US military apparatus in any meaningful way, he wants the troops here to enforce laws domestically
-
And we should create alliances where we can to fight that as well. These arguments against coalition building with those we aren't in 100% ideological agreement with to fight imperialism are weak af. We won't win like that. It's time to grow up.

Tucker's "anti intervention" or whatever you want to call it, is inherently flawed and incomplete when he demonizes refugees and attacks Latin American countries. You can't be genuinely against US imperialism if you see the primary victims of it as less than human.
-
I don't agree with Tucker on that but, I don't see how being against imperialism requires an inherent love for the refugees created by it. That's a weird conflation.

An anti-interventionism rooted in racism and chauvinism is not a real opportunity for a "coalition"

But is it important to forge cross-ideological coalitions with white supremacists, tho? Some say, no, it isn't.

I bet my co-worker lunch next week that you'd show up in this thread low-key backing Carlson. I am officially fed for a week. Thank you, sir.

I was actually defending Ro Khanna, the non-white member of Congress who has been a leader in curtailing destructive US policy, which overwhelmingly harms non-whites, such as Yemenis
