The bill contains ~2.5x more money for global health programs ($3.1 billion) than border barrier ($1.375 billion). Trump has gotten rolled by Congress throughout his entire term. For all the screaming and hyperventilating, he is an extremely weak president relative to Congress

Wrong. He didn't bother because he knew he was going to declare a national emergency. He duped them, not the other way around.

It's de facto Amnesty, either he got duped, or we got duped for ever thinking he was on the side of we lil' people.

That’s saying a lot because Congress has done nearly nothing in the past 2 years.

I think it’s less about him being weak and more about Congress being far more proactive. With presidents before, it’s been mostly casual barking between the parties on issues, with an occasional filibuster. Now, on each bill they grandstand like it’s life or death.

The barrier money is 5.48% of what Schumer offered him last year (25 billion). Art of the deal son, art of the deal.

I mean, ultimately, it *is* congress that’s supposed to spend money, not POTUS. But yeah, he’s gotten stiffed on the Wall because there isn’t enough congressional support for it.

@annietul Trump’s instincts have been v good (not starting wars, peace with N Korea, bringing troops home, ending illegal immigr etc) but his follow through has been terrible. He surrounded himself with people hostile to his agenda and part of the very Swamp he promised to drain.

I disagree. The globalist warmongering ZioCon infested Deep State is extremely powerful & deeply entrenched. Not many people could have made it this far. Trump is outmanuevering them, being strategic & pragmatic. It’s obvious to those who see. #DealsNotWars #MAGA #Peace

The Dems hate Trump and half of the Republicans believed Russia Gate and eerebaftaid to back him. Half of his advisors are swamp people. He’s been basically alone, yet he’s accomplished more positive things than any President since the fifties.

Eh, the FF were not a monolith. They often disagreed with one another, and weren't even consistent as individuals in terms of constitutional interpretation and enforcement.

One alternative would be ruling by Executive Order. I'm not sure which I prefer... Separation of Powers... or Autocracy... I certainly don't like this bill, from early impressions.
