Memories: Trump literally chastised the Republican Jewish Coalition in December 2015 for trying to "control politicians" with their money. Overblown to declare that "anti-semitic" also, but it shows how transparently phony right-wing criticisms of Omar arehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQE9ikccxAk …

This is the same speech in which Trump kvelled about his latest Jewish grandchild, IIRC. Not to excuse the dog piling on Omar, but Trump’s comments come from a different place.

Right, she's a black woman wearing a hijab, and Trump's a New York businessman with lots of Jewish friends and relatives. Or in other words, Trump is exempted from criticism on identity grounds. Definitely a consistent standard from the Ben Shapiro crowd.

Exempted from criticism from major elements of the mainstream right-wing commentariat.

Most of the mainstream right commentariat has not only criticized Trump but opposed him becoming POTUS.pic.twitter.com/lU5XG2g2OU
