Whether this entire controversy was designed from the start to place @AOC in a very difficult situation or not, it certainly will be used that way now. Weaponized identity politics is all they have, but it's still working.

No. It's because she is anti-Semitic in general and the underbelly of the party does not like to be exposed. A white native born American espousing the same things is no less anti-Semitic.

Yeah, that’s it, she departed from ‘The script’. There’s plenty of intelligent discussion out there for the ME. Her rhetoric is all too often (not all the time)on the edge, if not in the wedge, of anti-semitism. Of course, she’ll say moderate things, as well, as a diffuser, IMO

Michael Tracey also defends Jeremy Corbyn who has a long record of anti-Semitism.

Kudos to them. You're right that they OFTEN opportunistically weaponize identity appeals, but you're wrong, that Omar's bigotry is a good example. IF anything they've been reluctant to wade in, & SLOW off the mark (after her "hypnotizing the world" comment).

. . . and proves Congresswoman
@IlhanMN Omar's point. The AIPAC lobby rules the Congress through money. This is not exclusive to AIPAC. It's like any other well-funded lobby. It is all about the Benjamins: Koch Brothers, NRA, or AIPAC. - 1 more reply

It's almost as if you collect every conceivable opinion about an issue, sort by "which one makes me look the dumbest" and then proudly tweet that one. Every. Single. Time.

I hope Tulsi speaks up for her and make a stand against corruption..It would set her apart from the "seven dwarves" and make me feel good about voting for her.
