If US Policy is aggressive, imperialistic, expensive and doesn't respect international law, perhaps it's the job of Congress to derail it.

No, it’s because AIPAC is not made up of Israeli dollars, as she is implying.
-
As far as I know there is no public information detailing where AIPAC money comes from, in which case you're just asserting that without evidence.

Israel's foreign policy rests entirely on the assumption of unquestioning US support for everything it does. If it were treated like anything resembling a normal country, it would mean massive changes to the way it conducts itself.

Or, consider people who are at greater risk hate crimes, and who have the President celebrating their historical tormentors being told by a member of Congress bathed in support from erstwhile allies that *they* are the ones with power, based on ancient stereotypes.

I'm curious is it offensive to say that Jewish people in US have a disproportionate number in top positions in the media and financial institutions? Surely just looking at the board of most large companies this is clear. It doesn't mean they're a cabal or even like each other.

The Green New Deal is a similar example of the same tactic, as is the anti-socialist rhetoric. The old guard is not going to roll over and play dead for progressives. If we want change we are going to have to fight for every single inch of it.

Bc she also has a very questionable past. Allegations of immigration fraud, writing letters of support for that ISIS sympathizer in MN court, openly bashing Israel time and time again, a big proponent of the BDS movement.

Sounds reaonable. I like her

I'm inclined to agree, but just a devil's advocate position: considering the documented violence against Jews of late in particular, isn't there a chance that some of the words used might have some adverse effect?

Very true. Also, many former Israel supporters have switched sides for various reasons. That scares them

"anti-semitic trope" is a phrase that's now synonymous with "the truth Israel doesn't want to hear"
