The most recent and perhaps one of the most egregious examples of AIPAC influence being the anti-BDS measures in bill S.1, which according to the ACLU violate the US Constitution:https://www.aclu.org/news/aclu-comment-senate-passage-s1-and-combating-bds-act …

Surprisingly small for how much publicity they get.

https://www.usatoday.com/amp/1729053002 55 million from one donor who created an alternative hardline Israel lobby to AIPAC certainly isn't.

And that’s just what they have to classify as “lobbying.” All those congressional junkets aren’t in there for example. Actually the total AIPAC budget is $90million/year. Plus another $10million for WINEP. (And maybe another $50million for the ADL.)
-
Not to talk of Adelson and Haim Saban donating to GOP and Dem political action committees behind the scenes.

Entirely correct. Throwing around tens of millions of dollars for no expected quid pro quo was written about in the Talmud as quintessentially Jewish

Interesting, but how do they spend it? Campaign contribution vs events/communication.

Wow, that's a surprisingly teensy amount of money. That made me google and I see that AIPAC isn't even close to one of the most powerful, Top 50 lobbyist groups in DC.

You should see the chart for the pay-for-play, correction, I mean “donations” to the Clinton Foundation pre- and post-Nov 2016. Wha’ppen to good ol’ humanitarianism-for-humanitarianism’s sake??

AIPAC mostly sets up candidates with donors, such as Adelson. I'm sure there are others countries that do the same thing, but Omar is not wrong to call this out. I can't even stand her, but it is so slimy how fast the blue checkmarks pounce on this to conflate it with antisemitis

You can add another $30 million there for donations from Sheldon Adelson: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/10/sheldon-adelson-gives-30-million-to-house-gop-super-pac.html … Not sure what other interest groups donate for comparison purposes.

American Jewish lobbying is EVEN LESS their proportion of their small pop. Are Pro Choice pols pro choice due to (MUCH larger) lobbying dollars? Do facts matter to you? Its clear that Israel is a) Popular among American voters and B) Something ideologically near & dear to them.
