Extreme journalistic credulity extended to the "humanitarian" nature of this aid, as if the US woke up one day and decided it has the sincere interests of the Venezuelan people at heart. The "aid" is part of an effort to topple the government; it's not like this has been hiddenpic.twitter.com/FnPPjnZvMO

John Bolton and Elliott Abrams are not spearheading this effort because they suddenly had an epiphany and became selfless humanitarians. They want to topple the Venezuelan government. They've said this. Journalists who take their claims at face value are craven, ahistorical dupes

They might be craven, but the interview with Tulsi Gabbard showed definitively that they believe in American Exceptionalism & the Propaganda campaigns against Official Enemies.

They just want to improve state of human rights in Venezuela. It is so obvious.

Mike Pompeo is now going around claiming Iran & Hezbollah are now operating in Venezuela. Using this as a excuse for more U.S. involvement. http://www.splinternews.com/theyre-really-going-for-it-huh-1832434372/amp …

It's still humanitarian aid if it consists of things like food/medicine, and it isn't humanitarian aid if it consists of things like weapons. (Are you claiming such?) That its senders have additional motives doesn't make Maduro's blocking of it a noble act.

Do you want to keep a totalitarian socialist government in power to constantly oppress it's people? I wasn't for Iraq, Afghanistan and I'm not for invading Iran or any other nation, but how do you just sit back and know people are starving on the streets and do nothing?

It's not us who are "sitting back", it's the folks new to whats happening who say nothing while US sanctions cause instability & food shortages.
