So she's a reprehensible genocide denier for advocating against a horribly destructive proxy war that empowered some of the worst extremists on the planet, but the people who advocated *for* that war always seem to escape such vehement moral condemnationhttps://twitter.com/joshrogin/status/1093509324108894208 …

Being Hindu, Hawaiian or a veteran is no excuse for whitewashing the worst systematic mass atrocities since the Holocaust, which are still ongoing now in Assad’s dungeons. It’s not about labels. It’s about @TulsiGabbard lacking the moral clarity to represent America. https://twitter.com/VanJones68/status/1093324238180806656 …

It's so early, but look at the lengths they've already gone to preemptively ostracize and disqualify Tulsi: calling her a genocide denier, a dictator-lover, a Russian-backed plant, a cult member, a bigot... the list goes on. Really gives you insight about how the media operates

The media is so distrusted and hated that this isn't necessarily a negative. If anything, it could generate further intrigue about Tulsi, which she can then capitalize on. So it's in her interest to "welcome their hatred" and highlight the hypocrisies it exposes.

That's a really unfair and disingenuous characterization of my argument, which we are debating in the other thread. I thought we were trying to have a respectful debate, but you veer from that to this.

I wanted to make a broader point in a standalone tweet. In the other thread, I mentioned that it's not fallacious to question why selective opprobrium is applied to people who take Tulsi's point of view. So this tweet is an extension of that observation.

Bill Clinton oversaw 8 years of the oil for food program that killed half a million Iraqi children under the age of 5. That gets a total pass.

Hyperbole from @joshrogin exposes his fear that Tulsi will help expose what happened in Syria: think tanks, corporate media, & military industrial complex backed al Qaeda jihadists (mostly foreign) who forged alliances with ISIS. Vast crimes, so she must be destroyed. @MaxAbrahms

The neocon armchair keyboard brigade has logged on. Doesn’t matter that Tulsi was at the last scene of their crime, up close and personal as a soldier. They attack and accuse to justify their own fundamental malevolence. Can’t think of more evil people who want war all the time.

The US supports 70% of the worlds dictatorships. What about Saudi human rights abuse, and the war on Yemen? The civil war in Syria was started by the CIA. We Are only there to support the Saudi gas pipeline.

Josh Rogin's job is to cover for the CIA's role in destabilizing Syria. When the average person makes a minimal effort to learn who Allen Dulles was, what the Phoenix program is and how those 2 legacies have evolved into today's CIA - then Mockingbirds like Rodin stand out.

American Exceptionalism is really an American Supremacist ideology within the society of nations; it holds that US has right to use any means available, including funding &arming Neo-Nazis or head-chopping jihadists, to undermine, overthrow or invade a sovereign foreign countries

And correct me if I'm wrong, but there's this place called Yemen. The Saudis are committing genocide, funded by the US. Where's the outrage over that? What about what we do to our own people in OUR prisons and on OUR streets?

If Assad goes up for war crimes does the torture he did on behalf of USA under Bush worsen or help mitigate his record? If ignore, why? If worsens, do we turn in our war criminals? Does sharing candy with Michelle Obama expunge record? If so, what if Assad sends her some Baklava?

Some of the worst and most disingenuous people are those that have supported all the regime change wars that are always, always catastrophic, and continue to advocate for more. Their lethal hubris never earns any penalties, and ideology of hegemonic domination finds a new victim.

Motivation? @joshrogin (and intel hawks he shills for) still want regime change, a takeover by al Qaeda (a’la Libya), and a “no-fly zone” to provoke war w/Russia. Dr. Strangelove-levels of derangement. Hence, the need for hackneyed propaganda about “dungeons” and “Assad=Hitler.”
