    Michael Tracey Retweeted John Bolton

The sheer arrogance and hubris of this tweet. Just imagine if some foreign official said it in relation to US transfer-of-power procedures. It's especially galling as the entire political class (including Bolton) claims to be so concerned about "meddling"https://twitter.com/AmbJohnBolton/status/1091032929562775552 …

I wish Nicolas Maduro and his top advisors a long, quiet retirement, living on a nice beach somewhere far from Venezuela. They should take advantage of President Guaido’s amnesty and move on. The sooner the better.

The deep state, banking cartels, oil companies and military industrial complex are running the government. Bolton represents them, thus, his hubris.

And yet which nation has bombed or invaded far more countries over the last 60 years? I regret to inform you that the 'we are good and they are evil' fairy tale is a lie. Power corrupts and being the sole remaining super power has corrupted the US absolutely.

The problem is, though, in order to punish Maduro, you'll likely have to have a civil war with thousands (hundreds of thousands? Re: Syria) of dead and maimed for life. If there is no amnesty, there is no reason for him and his cronies to step down.

And I spend hours everyday on Twitter demanding the end of the same *policies* that Chavez and Maduro condemn. It's not about personalities. It's about exposing the truth of this corrupt world order that the US dominates. When it is replaced Americans will be the ones protesting.

Yeah except they are a dictatorship with mass starvation where the government shoots down protesters in the streets. We aren’t. Michael, you are the arrogant one. Bolton is right. They are in the midst of a revolution, get out of the way.

The US currently dominates this corrupt world order. This allows it (and its allies) to be the exploiters instead of the exploited. When the US is replaced as the dominant force in the world Americans and their arrogance/privilege are in for a huge wake up call.
