There is no allegation in the Mueller indictment that Roger Stone had privileged knowledge of WikiLeaks releases. In fact, Mueller's allegations all *undercut* this notion. If you knowingly fudge this point to suggest otherwise, you are deceiving readershttps://twitter.com/aaronjmate/status/1089899131433304064 …

After copying Mueller's words, @TheIntercept's James Risen now omits a very key word that happens to contradict his conspiracy theory. Risen says: "Stone told Trump campaign officials about upcoming [WL] releases, according to the indictment." He omits the word "potential": pic.twitter.com/9BBh2miR0T

If the indictment had any substantive allegations of Stone having been complicit in *what Mueller is investigating* then he would not be walking around tooting his horn. But the indictment concerns procedural matters like perjury. It’s very thin.

If the SC ends with a dud as I think it will, Mueller has some ‘splainin to do. At the point he knew there was no “there” there, he had a duty to remove the cloud of suspicion, even if he continued to plod along after process crimes

Undercut by omission/ not charging criminal conspiracy and not mentioning "collution"? Or, undercut by saying he did not do any such thing?

It's all about what Stone wanted from WikiLeaks, not what WikiLeaks gave him. Russia is still bull shit. There is no proof the Dems were "hacked" therefore certainly no proof Russia did it. Seth Rich "leaking" is as credible as Russia hacking.

On the contrary, the indictment is a strong testimony that there was no 2-way contact between Stone and Wikileaks, and that Stone was tried to verify info publicly available through friend of a friend who knows the lawyer who has access to WL, and never got anything back from WL

For someone who's alleged completely innocent and has done nothing wrong, Roger Stone sure did expend a lot of effort trying to fight the Special Counsel. You know, usually people who've done nothing wrong have nothing to hide.

Risen's been a hardcore Russiagater from the very beginning. His entire article is pretty much "Stage 3 - Bargaining" about the fact that his conspiracy theory never held any weight to begin with.

What happens when Stone moves for discovery. Without Assange all they have is emails. But no source or origin. They can't even prove theit authenticity. It's a shitshow. Without being able to cross examine assange defence will piss all over Mueller on every one of these.
