      Michael Tracey Retweeted FiveThirtyEight

Totally baseless assertion, and not supported by anything contained in the Stone indictment. There is no evidence that Trump officials had privileged knowledge of WikiLeaks releases. Then again, you'd expect nothing less from media coverage of this subjecthttps://twitter.com/FiveThirtyEight/status/1089206425149194242 …

Michael Tracey Retweeted Talking Points Memo

Again, totally false. Hard to tell whether these outlets are propagating this falsehood because they're illiterate, self-deluded, or actively deceptive. Probably a pathetic combination of the threehttps://twitter.com/TPM/status/1089312535961092102 …

For the confused: the Stone indictment specifically says that Stone had communications with Trump officials *after* Assange publicly announced that weekly releases of "Clinton-damaging" emails would be forthcoming. Mueller never alleges "advance knowledge"https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1089207136574496768 …

re: Stone indictment. For the most part his communications are all just reactions to publicly available information. He says here that WikiLeaks will release materials on a weekly basis. That's because... Assange publicly stated this. Reflects no privileged access on Stone's part pic.twitter.com/FBQEEtfqdB

When did the Trump tower meeting happened? You make it seem like they did nothing else, only this Roger Stone stuff.

They're all about separate things. The Trump Tower meeting had nothing to do with the emails Wikileaks eventually dumped.

@mtracey is not the sharpest mind in Twitterverse. He keeps saying the Mueller doc shows that the first connection between Stone & the Trump campaign occured after the initial WK cf. But the doc doesn't say Stone DIDN'T receive communications from the Trump campaign before it.pic.twitter.com/q9fC1EnvCu

So, Stone is not being indicted for any of those communications, or they would have been mentioned as counts in the indictment.

So the whole thing rests on "it was not just telephonic communications, but somebody sent an email, too." ? This is so far beyond parody. It's Exhibit R that Joy Behar was right, in spite of herself: everything boils down to "Get Trump!"

Democrats aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. They keep hanging their hats on this & keep getting NOTHING but process crimes or "old crimes" by Manafort & Cohen. Strong arm tactics to try & squeeze the President, gestapo type pre-dawn raids with guns drawn on OLD MEN. NADA.

Odd definition of collusion, then! If that's the case, every major news network was "colluding" with Wikileaks. And we have YET to establish that Assange got info from the Russians anyway!

We haven't established that, but because of the Mueller indictment of the 12 or 13 Russians, that Wikileaks got the info from Russians is accepted as an axiom in the case unless Crowdstrike's report can be buried. Mueller is using that more than dossier now.
