I'm not trying to "stan" for Tulsi. Honestly, I'm really not. But this is so bizarre and blatant. FiveThirtyEight doesn't even include her, a declared candidate, on their front-page pictorial collage. But they do include Michael Avenatti, Eric Holder, and The Rock. I mean, c'monpic.twitter.com/1BgGa0DqWS

"Oddball." This is eerily reminiscent of what they did to Dennis Kucinich in 2004 and 2008. Made him seem crazy due to personal eccentricities, which was really just cover for their disdain of his unorthodox foreign policy viewspic.twitter.com/qnRfFuPrO3

People are also rightly noting that something similar was done to Ron Paul. Slightly different dynamics in a GOP primary, but yes: a clear precedenthttps://youtu.be/dWet2SbU07c

Whatever party ends up with the lead, the war party wins. Or as @ThomasEWoods would say, no matter who you vote for, you end up with a John McLain clone.

Ross Perot also, not the ideal candidate but was turned into a joke when they chose to focus on his ears and the pitch of his voice and his “graphs”.

The rotten establishment didn't like that Ross Perot made issues of NAFTA and GATT. Ridiculed and demonized him.

They tried doing it to Bernie in 2015-16 as well, I remember for months them doing polls with Biden who wasn't in the race and not including Bernie and saying they only wanted to poll two candidates against the republicans.

It’s funny that you mentioned Ron Paul, because Tulsi reminded me of him: they both contrast greatly in comparison to their party members, are more against foreign intervention, but have some really conservative bg’s. I still respect Tulsi a lot, and even Ron Paul still

I’m convinced the unjust attacks on Ron Paul during GOP primaries was factor in trump beating out establishment candidates - scorched earth voting. It’ll be interesting to see DNC primary play out after treatment of Bernie in primaries by establishment toadies.

Carly Fiorina had the highest net positives in the R primaries. The party and the media ignored her.

The media is drunk on narcissistic power — believing THEY choose the next POTUS This toxic thirst for power & influence is colliding with the reality of their own impotence & dwindling monopoly over the political narrative In response they double down on propaganda. Sad

How about that paul and kucinovich aren’t particularly charismatic politicians and weren’t ready for prime time on a national stage? Lots of deep blue and red politicians aren’t as they never have to take a hard punch. Harris would be my nominee for someone who isn’t ready.

They certainly tried that with Bernie in 2016. But they could not have predicted the amount of supporters that would carry him to the top
