    Michael Tracey Retweeted Tulsi Gabbard

Tulsi explicitly framing her campaign as a "peace movement." Yes, there is a lot more she needs to elaborate on in terms of foreign policy, but what other candidates (declared or potential) are invoking this theme?https://twitter.com/TulsiGabbard/status/1088548857607266304 …

We are being torn apart, with divisions that seem too deep to heal. But when we are united in the spirit of love, there is no challenge we cannot overcome. Join me in building a movement for peace to create a bright future for all. https://bit.ly/2Tce5uL  pic.twitter.com/PGd9FHUxwS

Bigger challenge for her is getting the nomination, as opposed to the general election. Trump’s tactics wouldn’t work in a debate with her. The contrast would be stark.

Say it again- 45 points behind in early polling in her first Congressional run. She won by 21.

And the establishment of both parties can't stand her position. Because they get money from defense contractors to continue endless wars.

But she's always been anti-intervention. It's the reason I noticed her.

So far she's the only one opposing the US backed coup in Venezuels. Really curious what Sanders and Warren are going to put out.

Sanders finally came out with a statement opposing intervention (overt at least) but repeated lies & talking points pushed by regime change proponents. By doing so, he's helping to manufacture consent. While trying to appear against intervention, he's helping to make it reality.

so far, just on messaging and overall likeability, she's a clear outlier IMO. I'm not getting a "how do you do, fellow kids?" vibe here, while somehow not coming off as just another slimy, party line messenger

She sees an opening there -- left wide open by the rest of the field, basically. I don't know if she is sincere or not. But it shouldn't just be her running on peace.

She's already lost then. Both parties love war. Individuals may not, but even Obama had to give the military industrial complex there wars. I hated his politics, but I was glad he didn't let himself get shamed into a major war in Syria after Assad crossed his red line.
