538 also gave Hillary Clinton a 71.4% chance of beating Donald Trump in the 2016 general election on Election Day. Simply put, 538 knows nothing and shouldn’t be listened to.

That is misleading because they were saying 27% chance for Trump the day before the election when AP, CBC, NBC and even Fox were saying 1-5%, They by contrast said Trump had a realistic chance.
