First question that jumps out to me: whose complaints precipitated the removal?

Here you go. There's no way the standards being applied here (tax code stuff) are remotely consistent. Strongly suspect something fishy is going on.https://twitter.com/sunraysunray/status/1087875220688588802 …

This is really disgraceful. If you've ever published anything, you know how dramatic and horrible a full retraction would be. Hope
@thebafflermag clarifies what really happened ASAP, rather than hiding behind legalese.Show this thread -
FYI: Jacobin has re-published the piece. Doesn't diminish the disgrace. Baffler now claims the articles it publishes can't "support or oppose" any candidate? Really? So if I peruse the archives, I won't find any articles conveying opposition to Trump?https://twitter.com/jacobinmag/status/1087901481834024960 …

Rules for non profits are they can't endorse anyone. It's a tax code thing.

Don't see how one person expressing support for a candidate is tantamount to an institutional endorsement.

Baffler lost all of it's mojo when Thomas Franks got old really fast.

The piece looks to be up at
@jacobinmag, albeit with a slightly different headline. Credit where it's due, and all. And yeah, it would be nice to know why the Baffler took it down.https://jacobinmag.com/2019/01/bernie-sanders-elizabeth-warren-democratic-primary-baffler-amber-frost …Thanks. They were probably served with a lawsuit or something. I'm very worried about this.

I don’t know what I’d do without the internet archive sometimes.

I'm wondering...Tulsi isn't mentioned in the article. It must have been originally posted before she announced. So putting it back in makes it look as if people should support Bernie over Tulsi and doesn't acknowledge how close they are and how their platforms are the same.

So sad I missed an article by someone who hates disabled people.

GM and Ford do 100,000 recalls over things that "present risk" but which have yet to cause any damage to anyone. The Press almost never does a full recall despite the incredible damage to people. How does it feel to work in a profession full of excuses and zero quality control?

Now This is the way to bring quality control to your profession - sue the hell out the media and media personalities unless they issue a full and unequivocal retraction & apology. Why does it not surprise me that it takes a lawyer to bring ethics to the media.
