The other factors Bunch cites are also profoundly wrong, and validate the worst cynical tropes: 1) Dems think Bernie cost Hillary the 2016 election (no, Hillary cost herself the election) 2) His 2016 campaign was "misogynist" (laughable) 3) Russian trolls helped Bernie (pathetic)

There is a well financed hybrid network dedicated to bring down Bernie, and more importantly his movement and policy proposals. The following analysis is a must read if to understand what is going and how rotten the social info warfare against Bernie is

Bunch is probably getting paid to write “I used to vote X, but I saw the light” bull or maybe his current (or potential) employer demanded that he write something along those lines. Almost identical articles about Bernie Sanders were written by alleged “ex-supporters” in 2016.

It's the first thing that crossed my mind.

@Will_Bunch I'm amazed (not really) that the purveyors of ID politics keep referring to Sanders as "an old white guy." We've never had a Jewish president. Also no one who had declared for President is better than Sanders, and there is no sign that Dems have learned anything.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

"Just quietly go away" really isn't a viable strategy in Politics.

How about backing out because of his Russiagate support? Or because he basically turned his back on his supporters by ignoring the DNC fraud lawsuit? I don’t want him to run, he’s shown his true colors already
-
And it sure as hell don't help that he has NO viable path to the WH. Does anyone really honestly believe that the dems would allow him to win the nom? There's no viable way under the current system that he could win as an independent, either.

We should know first if he runs, then, why and if he really wants to be President.

That whole article is just "Bernie himself didn't do anything wrong, but I'm going to keep writing this article as if he did"

It's amazing that these clowns think that ageism and sexism against males are anecdotes to sexism against women and they think they're on the high road. With people at large, this identity politics foolishness is electoral poison. They are vacant; completely empty of integrity.

2016: Bernie is too radical. 2018: Bernie is replacement level Dem. Absurd propaganda.

Yep, for Bernie not to run because all of the idiotic and deplorable non-stop smears against him over the years, would only serve to reward, legitimize and embolden the smear machine against progressives going forward. We must make a stand on the side of truth and nuance.

What the fuck is this with hoping someone doesn't run? Afraid he might win and destroy Trump? That is what a primary is for. Let anyone get in and fight it out. Dems are so afraid of a good fight. And the logic around this thinking is pure Anerican political stupidity.
