I’m still waiting for your response to her Sisi quote given it’s clear that you’re not just being a Devil’s advocate but are bent on defending her and promoting her.

I'm still waiting for you to clarify how a Sisi quote is responsive to my point about Assad, which is the tweet you responded to.

Easy. My case is she likes awful people. Sisi is one example. I provided a quote. You’re right - I don’t have a quote of her *praising* Assad, but I do for Sisi. You can deflect with Assad all you like but what’s your response re Sisi? Anything?

How could I possibly be "deflecting with Assad" when my original point was about Assad? You deflected by interjecting with Sisi. And you've done the exact same thing in the past. Happy to have a separate discussion about Sisi, but not instigated by your deflection.

Simple question: what do you make of Gabbard’s support for Sisi? (I’ve already conceded that you’re right, there is no quote from her praising Assad. But there is a quote from her praising Sisi.)

Great, that's actually a really important concession, because as you can probably tell by the popular media portrayal of her, lots of people think otherwise. As for the Sisi quote, it seems to be referring to counter-ISIS efforts. I don't like the overly-flattering language.

That’s a cop out and you know it. Sisi is a brutal dictator and mass murderer, not to mention a recruiting sergeant for ISIS, and she was endorsing his leadership as courageous and legitimizing his rule.https://gabbard.house.gov/news/press-releases/photos-rep-tulsi-gabbard-meets-egypt-president-el-sisi-and-other-leaders-cairo …

Would you prefer that she undertake efforts to overthrow Sisi? Declaring him "courageous" is overly-flattering diplomatic language, and I object. But I wouldn't say meeting with him is inherently "legitimizing."

Yes the opposite of flattering a dictator who murders people and not condemning him is... regime change (!) A moronic suggestion. This is a pointless exchange. You’ll clearly justify and apologize for anything she does. Good night.

I said I objected to the quote you identified, and that's somehow "apologizing" for it. Interesting. Good night.

The coup that brought Sisi to power happened on Obama's watch and I don't remember him or any other prominent US politicians condemning that at the time. Nor any making a big deal out of continued arms sales to Egypt post-coup, which is supposed to be illegal. Double standard?

I don’t understand why elected leaders can’t meet with anybody without this “legitimizing” argument. Leaders meeting and talking is good. The alternative is usually one form of aggression or another. Those aren’t good.

For the record, Mr Tracey: what is your connection to the Gabbard campaign? Do you do ANY work, of any kind - paid or unpaid - for her campaign and/or anything or anyone involved with or supporting her campaign?
