Once again: in 2006, the most powerful Democrats in the country voted to construct vast lengths of hard Southern Border barrier. If that wasn't "fascism" then, but today it is, and the only variable that's changed is Trump's rhetoric, their supposed principled evolution is phony.

some variables that have changed since 2006: annual number of illegal border crossings (down by over half) number of border apprehensions (down) existing length of border barrier (up) number of border patrol agents (up) annual budget for border patrol (up)

So if border crossings and apprehensions increased to 2006 levels, constructing vast lengths of hard barrier would cease to be fascist?

This is trollish and you know it, when a system moving toward fascism is an acceleration over time & its material not just rhetorical —hundreds of thousands lost status, camps, killing kids & purposely losing track of parents. Revoking protections / access on basis of identity.

Are Chuck & Nance even calling it ‘fascism,’ or just observers like me & scholars, most leftists? Cos I see denialist progs who are shoring up a narrative as if it’s some Clinton conspiracy and not an observation of rising international authoritarian (neoliberal) capitalism.

You are so daft that it’s almost unbelievable. “The Wall” became a symbol or racism during the 2016 campaign. So of course the politics of wall-building has changed. If you don’t care about opposing racism, the 2016 change in meaning won’t matter to you, to Democrats it does.

What is unclear about some wall is efficient when it supports human & technological resources? MORE wall is not necessarily the most effective approach. May be you can get this: Some windows in my house = good. A house of all windows = not good.

Everything about politicians is phony now. We can tell by the ridiculous "leadership" of both parties. Just idiots that will do the bidding of oligarchs AGAINST the People without hesitation!! It's past #yellowvest time

It certainly wasn't fascism when Obama built an electronic Stasi-like panopticon without permission or legislation with not a peep from those same democrats squealing about Trump's 'authoritarianism'.

Once again: in 20XX, the most powerful Democrats in the country voted to continue banning gay marriage. If that wasn't "homophobic" then, but today it is, and the only variable that's changed is Trump's rhetoric, their supposed principled evolution is phony.

Yes, and that barrier still there today. Also, we didn't have a Nazi at the white house So it Trump can't keep his.promise, he might not get reelected. It's a good strategy to prevent him for building his "wall"

It’s amazing how far Centrists will go to try to distance themselves from the right when there isn’t much difference at all.🙄

Around that time there were still Democrats who opposed gay marriage. It's almost as if ....people and parties change.... Would you believe it ? Back then Trump might not have been elected as president t for the GOP

The issue is that their change doesn't seem to have anything to do with the issues themselves. There's no rational reason for not wanting a border wall. Just emotional cries of racism.
