The latter-day “fact-checking” enterprise arises from the assumption that objective reality can somehow effectively counter Trump, who operates in an alternate reality. Of course, the fact-checkers fail to realize that they’re operating in an alternate reality of their own.

The worst thing about fact-checking sites is the use of their subjective interpretations as pseudo-empirical evidence. People will actually try to present number of pinocchios as a data point, for example.

The ‘fact checkers’ are actually activist masquerading as journalist. They lace coverage w/ opinion & tell Us the right way to view it. History will humiliate their total disregard for journalistic ethics & objectivity

You got it! You start to question the Fact checkers and in today’s world you have a hard time believing any of them because they are all motivated by something other than the truth. How do we find the truth now?

Some things are amenable to fact-chcking, but when fact-checkers are making political judgements, they should label them. Fairness and common sense would go a long way.

All day. Every day. I stopped counting all the times some journalist or reporter fact check trump only to then lie or distort right after. This jumps when foreign policy comes into play.

They fact-check their own strawmen most of the time.

Their alternate reality includes the ridiculous notion that people actually respect their analysis.

You're not wrong to a degree, but a benefit of a lot of these fact-check sites is that they'll explain a problem/issue in more detail usually than the article it's fact-checking usually.
