What is the political constituency that prefers steel to concrete, or even has particularly strong feelings about one versus the other? How did this even become a thing? Could negotiations really be hinging on it? Is a hotdog a sandwich? Aren't we all just hurtling toward death?

Media embraced it because they thought it caught Trump in a lie (it didn't), and then Trump embraced it because it makes it seem like building the wall is inevitable and we're only arguing over materials at this point.

It's rather silly because in all likelihood a barrier made of concrete would include steel and vice versa. If Donald had any sense of aesthetics he'd build it out of ice.

It's steel so that animals can still traverse the border freely. Donny listened to conservationists.

I'd prefer a Natural Bamboo Reed Fence. This is all asinine. As Bernie pointed out: it's the climate crisis that's the real/existential crisis.pic.twitter.com/KZhkP5w2DQ

What political constituency prefers to pay for the wall rather than Mexico? Why are we debating a wall when Dems just won an election? Why didn't repubs do it in first two years? Rod Rosenstein is sexy.
